Our Semi-formal Curriculum is designed to support a holistic provision which focuses on the 4 areas of need for each child: communication and interaction, cognition and learning, physical and sensory and social, emotional, and mental health.
Typically, our Semi-Formal learners have severe learning difficulties and autism spectrum condition.
During STEM we focus on learning about liquids and solids and how they react to different ingredients. The pupils engaged in practical learning opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of the concept. The pupils used vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to create a volcano and realised that when using water there is no reaction.
