International School Award

We were previously partnered with
SOSW Elbląg in Poland

At BEA, we are proud to be building strong international partnerships that promote cultural exchange, understanding, and friendship among students with additional needs. These projects provide valuable opportunities for our pupils to connect with others around the world and celebrate their unique cultures.

Our journey into international collaboration is led by Charlotte Wright and Victoria Haw who work together to organise and run these exciting projects. Before joining BEA, Victoria was the International Schools Coordinator at her previous setting, where she used a platform called eTwinning to create and join projects with schools across Europe. Through this, she developed lasting connections with schools in Finland, Spain, and Poland.

Some previous projects Victoria has been involved in and which we’re continuing here at BEA include:

– Holiday card and gift exchanges for Christmas and Easter.
– A “Bake Off”-style recipe swap, where students shared and scored each other’s traditional dishes.
– “My Culture in a Box”, where students filled a box with items representing their culture and posted them to partner schools.
– A “This Is Me” project, where students created PowerPoint slides with pictures and descriptions of their interests, forming pen-pal style connections.

Since joining BEA, Victoria has reconnected with the school in Elbląg, and together with Charlotte, they have exchanged festive gifts and are looking forward to continuing the partnership with new creative projects. Please have a watch of our school tour video shared with our partner schools.

We’re also excited to share that we’ve recently made contact with a school in India. While this partnership is still in the early stages, we hope it will become a long-running and meaningful cultural exchange as well.

These international links help our students develop a global perspective, boost confidence, and foster a sense of inclusion and friendship that reaches beyond the classroom. We can’t wait to see where these connections will take us next.

International Partnership with Aashianaa

Take a look at how our partnership with Aashianaa in India is progressing on the video below…

In January 2026, we were delighted to receive a wonderful package from Aashianaa, our partner school in India. Every pupil was gifted a beautiful handmade bookmark.

Culture Week 2026

In June 2026, we celebrated Culture Week and our classrooms were buzzing with colour, creativity and curiosity!

Pupils explored countries from around the world through story massages, sensory play, art, delicious treats, dancing, clothing, research and more.
